Meet Dr. Homfeld, a caring Associate Veterinarian who joined Best Friends in Cookeville in August 2025 after relocating from New York. She began her veterinary career in 2023 after earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Homfeld enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine but has a special interest in preventative care and dermatology. Dedicated to professional growth, she values the opportunity to learn something new each day in practice.

Outside of work, Dr. Homfeld loves being outdoors, exploring new places through travel, and enjoying time with her fiancé, John, their adorable Chihuahua, Gravy, and her family. She looks forward to meeting and building lasting relationships with the pets and families of the Cookeville community.
